Tour overview
Hua Hin was the seaside retreat of the Thai royal family, and its temples are part of everyday local life. The day starts at Wat Khao Takiap on Monkey Mountain, with its tall standing golden Buddha and views over Hua Hin Bay. South of the town you visit Wat Tham Khao Tao, a temple set in caves and on a rocky headland, and walk through the small fishing village of Khao Tao before lunch. In the afternoon you see Wat Huay Mongkol, where a huge statue of the revered monk Luang Phor Thuad looks over a park and a lake. Your guide explains the stories and the customs, and the pace stays relaxed, with time for photos at each stop.
