Tour overview
“Evening in Ayutthaya” is a half-day and evening tour that starts around midday and returns late at night. It combines the main historical temples of Ayutthaya with the special atmosphere of sunset, temple lights and the Chao Phraya River after dark.
Day itinerary
Departure from Bangkok / Pattaya
Pick-up from your hotel and drive towards the ancient capital of Ayutthaya.
Wat Mahathat
Visit the famous ruins of Wat Mahathat, including the iconic Buddha head gently embraced by tree roots.
Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon
Stop at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon to admire the tall chedi and reclining Buddha statue.
Dinner by the river
Free time for dinner (not included) at a local restaurant overlooking the Chao Phraya River.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram by night
Highlight of the tour: admire the Khmer-style temple beautifully illuminated after dark.
Evening river cruise
Optional short boat trip on the river to see more illuminated temples from the water.
Return to hotel
Drive back to Bangkok or Pattaya. Arrival expected late at night (around 23:30–00:30).
