Tour overview
“All of Bangkok” is an extended one-day tour that connects the classic highlights – Wat Pho, the Grand Palace, Wat Arun – with canal life in Thonburi, Jim Thompson’s teak house and a taste of the modern skyline from above. It is designed as a complete introduction to the city for travellers who want to see as much as possible in one well-paced day.
Day itinerary
Early hotel pick-up
Morning pick-up from your hotel to make the most of the day and reach the first sights before the crowds.
Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha)
Visit to Wat Pho to see the giant Reclining Buddha and explore the temple grounds in the softer morning light.
Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew
Guided exploration of the Grand Palace complex and Wat Phra Kaew, Temple of the Emerald Buddha. (Dress code required.)
Lunch on the Chao Phraya river
Included lunch at a riverside restaurant with views towards Wat Arun.
Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
Cross the river by boat and visit Wat Arun, famous for its porcelain-decorated central prang.
Khlong (canal) boat ride
One-hour long-tail boat ride through the canals of Thonburi to see traditional wooden houses and everyday life on the water.
Jim Thompson House
Visit the teakwood house and garden of Jim Thompson – an oasis of calm and a beautiful example of traditional Thai architecture.
Sky bar viewpoint (optional)
